Go Sport ID Giveaway!

by ashleyd on August 2, 2011

I hope your Monday was as wonderful as mine!

I wore a fun new outfit to work today which while monochromatic, was very comfortable and received quite a few compliments.

IMG_3542 (478x640)  Lunch was a salad from Toastie’s and I once experimented with dressing options again, today opting for fresh lemon juice and a dash of olive oil. It was delicious!

IMG_3543 (478x640) IMG_3544 (478x640) Today’s combo included chopped romaine, chopped tomatoes, red and green peppers, feta, cucumber, red onion, and salt & pepper. I also tried Lipton’s new Citrus Green Tea which was very refreshing!

My afternoon snack was a yogurt and a Nuun infused bottle of water.

IMG_3545 (478x640) After work I ran the 1.8 miles home in order to put my daily mileage at a total of 5 miles which was on my training plan. While I know it’s important to fit in mid mileage runs during the week, it was tough fitting in the mileage this morning due to work. I don’t plan on splitting the mileage on a weekly basis but once in a while it should be okay.

Upon walking through the door, I smelled spice!

IMG_3546 (640x478)Tonight’s dinner was Rub with Love salmon, grilled perfectly, served along side corn on the cob and mixed vegetables. If you’ve never tried Rub with Love you must order some immediately! We discovered it while we were out in Seattle a year ago and have been obsessed ever since! IMG_3548 (640x478) IMG_3549 (640x478)IMG_3551 (640x478) Last but not least, the folks over at Go Sport ID want to make sure you never exercise without identification again! It wasn’t until I saw giveaways for Road ID on other blogs that I thought about the fact that I never carry identification with me on runs. If I was to get hit by a cab, get run over by a biker, or suffer from heat exhaustion no one would know how to reach Bo or my family. Luckily, Go Sport ID can change that with their new Go Sport ID bracelet. The winner will receive a free Sport Band bracelet with their running mantras, name, and emergency contact information engraved.

Ooohhh! I love how it is engraved.

My life mantra is this, from Walt Disney –
“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and trying new things because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

Thanks for the opportunity!!

I would put “This is My TIme” as my mantra…I always try to give as much as I can to help make other people’s lives easier and find myself spread very thin (but I love it!) Running is my stress reliever and it’s my time to focus on me and only me.

My life mantra is probably:

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you!

Jul August 2, 2011 at 1:24 am

And btw, and I mean this in the best way possible – you are beautiful! You don’t need compliments to know that! :)

Tara August 2, 2011 at 1:25 am

My life mantra is to keep trying and to keep smiling. For exercising my mantra is ” I do because I didn’t”. I have always been the fat chubby girl- that ends now! It is slow and I know it will take a while but it is all to improve my life.

Alison August 2, 2011 at 2:06 pm

Awesome giveaway! Ive had my eye on thes Road ID for quite a while now. I’m not sure this would be considered a mantra, but I do love the quote…”Running is a mental sport…and we’re all insane!”.

Caitlin August 2, 2011 at 3:29 pm

Love this giveaway! My mantra is “Live in possibility”. I also tweeted and like you on FB already!

Sarah @i_will_overcome August 2, 2011 at 3:44 pm

My mantra would either be “If it is to be, it is up to me.” 10 two-letter words and thats it!

Or it would be “Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when I know there are footprints on the moon.”

Sarah @i_will_overcome August 2, 2011 at 3:46 pm

I like you on facebook and I tweeted!

Alyssa August 2, 2011 at 3:56 pm

Vanessa August 2, 2011 at 5:06 pm

I have two quotes I absolutely love-
“That which we are, we are.”
“The pain fades, the pride lingers.”

Allison August 2, 2011 at 5:28 pm

Another one that I think is great is “Do what you like. Like what you do.” [Life is Good]

Jessica @ Healthy Dairyland August 3, 2011 at 2:29 am

My mantra lately has been, “There is always a downhill.” It’s what I tell myself when I’m running hills, but it fits for anything. Tough workouts or days are always followed by a downhill – a reward, easy day, rest, etc.

Jessica @ Healthy Dairyland August 3, 2011 at 2:30 am

I already like your page on Facebook. :)

Molly August 3, 2011 at 8:36 pm

My life mantra: “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”

However, I wouldn’t put that on my RoadID. I’d probably put “make it happen” because I find that keeps me accountable in all aspects of my life.

Tweeted it (@mollytics) and liked your Facebook page!
