$100 Target Giveaway

by ashleyd on March 2, 2012

Hey gang! I’m so sorry for being MIA the last 24 hours but unfortunately it’s been a bit crazy. Last night, after an awesome speed work session on the treadmill, I came home and was immediately hit with a 12 hour stomach virus. I hear it’s going around and have already verified that we won’t have a surprise in 9 months, don’t worry! But, it made for a horrible evening and night. On top of all that, my biggest launch of the year is taking place this week at Macys!

002

So needless to say this week has been a bit crazy. But, in honor of lots of things, including becoming a Fitfluential Ambassador , reaching a new readership high and launching Dolce&Gabbana The One Sport, I figured it was time to give you guys a thank you gift!

Do you remember back in February, when I went to the fabulous Target event to check out their Spring preview?

011

012 Well, now, after breaking my C9 by Champion for Target gear in over the past few weeks, I get to give one lucky reader $100 worth of C9 by Champion for Target gear! I’m in love with the top and shorts especially, while the sports bra isn’t my favorite due to its very thin straps. Also, let’s get real. This outfit, including sports bra cost a total of $39! That means that the winner can get almost 3 running or workout outfits for $100! I love Lululemon but at the end of the day, this is a steal, especially for wicking material!

007

There are three lucky ways to enter:

1) Leave a comment with one question you’d like me to answer in an upcoming Friday Face Time OR a runner you’d like to see guest post in Marathons+Moderation.

2) Share this on giveaway on Twitter: “@healthyhappier is giving away a $100 worth of  C9 by Champion for Target workout gear http://alturl.com/ww2aq!”  Be sure to leave a comment, letting me know you shared it on Twitter!

This giveaway will end at midnight on Sunday, EST.

Wow this is awesome! I’m not a new runner (I’m a few years in) but I’ve never done a race before. I was training for a 10k that I wasn’t able to finish due to severe health issues but now that I’m getting better, I want to get back into it and would love to run a 1/2 marathon by the end of the year. What’s your advice for a first time race runner? (No matter the distance..)

Amazing giveaway! a question I’d like addressed in friday face time is how you manage getting dressed for work (esp hair) and how it fits in with your daily workouts and sweat sessions. I always have the problem that I don’t want to work out in the morning because it doesn’t leave me enough time to style my hair before work!

Wow, what a great giveaway!

Since NYRR is opening the Mini 10K registration tomorrow, I just read your recap from the 2011 race. I was just wondering (regarding that race specifically and any other women only-races) what your take on women-only races is. I’ve never run one and am afraid I will completely lose my tough “whatever, it’s just another race” exterior and start sobbing if any other woman offers me any small gesture of encouragement or shouts something like “this one’s for Grete!” Do you have a preference for mixed-gender or women-only races, or do you just like them both for different reasons and scenarios?

For Friday Face Time, I’d be interested in knowing how you strike a healthy balance with the food your husband makes. I don’t know if he’s a chef or not, but it seems he is a fantastic cook and sometimes cooks don’t make the most healthy dishes. :)

I’d like you to discuss your daily schedule and how you balance everything you do – I just started my first full-time job on top of planning a wedding and finishing my master’s and I cannot find enough time in the day to hang out with my fiance and workout and do everything else that needs to get done. You seem to balance everything SO incredibly well on top of the busy travel schedule you have too. Thanks for the giveaway. :)
