Friday Face Time: Hair & Fuel

Hey gang! The weekend is finally here!! I already know this is going to be a wonderful weekend because it’s Winter Ball weekend! Since we knew that tomorrow would be a crazy day, Theodora and I both opted to do our long run this morning. It was a relaxed long run for me and felt wonderful. I covered almost 12 miles and was able to talk over half the time.

There is something to be said about having your long run done before the weekend even officially begins! I’m so thankful that I can work from home on Fridays. That means that I can spend my commute and primping time running!

Now, without further adieu, it’s time for Friday Face Time! Thank you for all the new questions gang. This week’s Friday Face Time is about my favorite hair products and long run fuel!

Those are gorgeous pictures! I’ll be in NYC in a few weeks for the NYC Half and I can’t think of a better place to run my first half-marathon 🙂

Have you tried the Honey Stinger Pomegranate Passion chews? They are really good too!

Love all those hair products. I actually used to use Biosilk and the product had slipped my mind – happy to have been reminded!

Hey Ashley, I have a question about the Honey Stingers. Energy gels/chews are supposed to be followed up with water. Do you do this for the chews? I don’t normally bring water while I run, but the temperature is heating up and I need to start experimenting with fuel and water during my longer runs. I normally use GUs, though I’d like to branch out and Honey Stingers sounds like a tasty energy source.

Also, how do you carry them? That’s a dumb question, I know! The shorts I wear have wimpy pockets so I’m thinking I’d have to pin the bag to my shorts somehow, or put them in a plastic baggie or something.
