Great list! I don’t care how much socks cost, if they are high quality and anti-blister, I’ll buy them!

I’m a fan of the lululemon racerback tanks for hot weather workouts. I also like stride glide when I wear shorts. I have yet to find a pair of shorts that just stay put for running. Where are those sparkly headbands from?

    I must have!

Thank you for this post! I just ordered the Lululemon Turbo Run Shorts…can’t wait to get them! I am going to check out the Asics tanks now;-)

I’m in total agreement with Nuun. Love that stuff!

I’m a fan of dry-max socks. I’ve never had any issues with blisters no matter how sweaty my feet got.

I also love Nike’s Dri-fit baseball hats to protect my face from the sun. The band really soaks up sweat so nothing rolls in my eyes. It’s also light weight and breathable.

I HARE running long distances in shorts – but I know I can’t wear crops throughout summer marathon training. Would you recommend those shorts or the Lulu skirt? I have some serious thighs and part of the reason I hate shorts so much is because they CONSTANTLY ride up and I’m just not comfortable in them. I was thinking the running skirt might be a better option?

err – I HATE running in shorts. 🙂

Oh me too Shannon! Within minutes of starting to run my shorts have pretty much disappeared up into my thighs/crotch. I may as well have worn undies to run in. Now I wear tights under my shorts or a skirt. I’ll give these shorts a try as well.

I’d recommend the shorts as they have wider leg holes. Wear them at a Lulu store and run around 🙂

I was just searching your website yesterday for info on the bottoms you wore in the NY Half. I couldn’t tell if they were shorts or a skirt. So thanks for the gear info! Came at a great time! I want to try the run swiftly shirt because I hear they are cut longer. I am only 5ft3 but I feel most shirts fit too short on me.

Love this list! Another must have for summer for me is the swiftly racerbacks – like the shirt, but in a tank version so even more breathable!
