Oh my gosh has it really been four days?!

I apologize profusely for my stint away from the blog. This week included a work trip that became much busier than I ever expected. Here is what you can expect to see tomorrow:
1) An awesome healthier pad thai recipe
2) Capital Grille review
3) Amtrak dining options- WOW!
4) Brooklyn Half Marathon Race Recap- even with THREE bathroom stops (in the woods) and having to wait at two water stations since they were out of water I lowered my time by 2 minutes according to NYRR since the MORE and 4 mins and 20 seconds based on my watch (I stopped it while I was waiting for water at the two stations)!! I still have a long way to go but i’m moving in the right direction!
5) NIKE running top review and running with a hat
See you guys tomorrow! Bo and I are off to our first rooftop party of the season and the weather is gorgeous!

Eat Whatever

Today I had the awesome opportunity to meet Jacqui Rosshandler of EatWhatever. Not only was she gorgeous, sweet, and vivacious but she also has a passion for her product and company. Jacqui came up with the product a few years ago after realizing that she couldn’t handle her garlic breath any longer! Her husband loved to cook with garlic but your average breath mint or toothpaste could rid her of the smells. She decided that the product needed to work from the inside out. That is what makes Eat Whatever different. There are two steps that lead you to kissable, fresh breaths! First, you swallow two gel caps with water. Then, you suck on a small mint. The gel cap works from the inside out and dispenses all natural peppermint oil throughout your system. In addition, both the gel cap and mint are sugar free, natural, kosher, and vegan which means almost anyone can enjoy them! Jacqui insisted that if I enjoyed a mint after our lunch I would enjoy minty fresh breath until my next meal, even if it was six or more hours. I was very weary of her promise as our the catered lunch consisted of greasy, pesto, and garlic filled sandwiches from ‘Witchcraft. Imagine my surprise when SIX hours later my breath was still fresh and cool? I think i’m addicted! Here is a quick run down of the pros and cons:

Pro: Sugar free, really work, last for at least a few hours, cool packaging, local company, female owned
Cons: Not carried widely yet and therefore you can buy them online (www.eat-whatever.com) or in various NYC locations such as Rickys, Amish Markets, etc.

If you are interested in reviewing these or trying them leave me a comment as I should be getting some samples, tshirts, and more this week and would love to help Jacqui and her team spread the word!

Oh yeah, I finally gave in and joined Twitter. We’ll see how long this keeps up as i’m not really sure about it. But, you can follow me at healthyhappier!!

Winner of my first giveaway!!

Today’s official post will come later today with news of my next giveaway, a product review, and more news! Life is crazy over in our world as we’re trying to balance moving, full time work schedule, and a wedding!

Last night we had great luck at Lowe’s choosing our paint colors! Even Bo and I were amazed that we were able to agree on colors for the living room/entry way and bedroom in less than five minutes! Since this will only be our apartment for a year or two, we went with Valspar paint and did not go for one of their high end brands. Both fathers were able to recommend that we go with eggshell finish ahead of time so that took any guess work out of the decision. We chose a gorgeous warm yellow/tan for the bedroom (almond glaze) and a cool green (lush meadow) for the living room/entrance. Since we are using my Pottery Barn desk as a cornerpiece in our living room we wanted a wall color that would match the bright white desk. The warm yellow should match our bedroom set perfectly!

Even though I’ve moved four times in the last four years, I always forget what a pain the random errands outside of the actual moving and packing are. For example, I’ve spent 45 minutes this morning changing all of our address information on credit cards, registries, bank accounts, USPS, etc and i’m still not done! It’s amazing how Bo thinks of all the big things but forgets the smaller yet even more important things like gym memberships and change of addresses. Speaking of gym membership, if anyone wants a NYSC Passport membership (allows you to use any Sports Club including Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and NYC) please let me know!

Okay, without further ado, congratulations
